Was established in 1994 as Boutique Tours, small gastronomic tours to Umbria, pioneering cooking tours.

From that venture was born the current business, with holiday accommodation anywhere in Italy and France. At that time Dawn was doing a thesis, a Masters degree, on Italian food. And this was after living in rural Tuscany for 2 years with her children, so they could learn the language and culture in the most natural way, in village with about 25 inhabitants. The children there taught mine how to hunt for Porcini mushrooms and wild strawberries and numerous other skills in all seasons,  like how to get a pheasant  while out of season.

I lived and worked in France intermittently over the past 35 years and studied both languages most of my life to post grad level.It has been a long and satisfying passion.

Research is done every year and all new properties inspected to keep on top of and ahead of current demand. I have paid particular attention to specialty historical places to stay including castles and venues to celebrate family reunions. Perhaps you require a bus and driver, a local translator, a cook or someone to facilitate your wedding, a luxury sailboat, a hot balloon ride, try asking me.
